BREAD + BUTTER + GAVIN PLATT

Perry Uniform has been making club blazers since 1946. In 2013 a sub brand - Perry Club - was formed, targeting sports clubs and societies with bespoke designs and patterns.

THE CHALLENGE

Their existing brand identity did not reflect the true values of the company or the premium nature of the service or product offered. They were looking to connect and engage with more customers through the introduction of a well considered brand identity.

In addition, it was felt that their existing online presence would benefit from the introduction of a more considered brand identity.

OUR SOLUTION

We created a new identity that gave the brand a more contemporary feel. Our positioning was based around their unique proposition: 

 their exclusive design process and creative expertise coupled with their unparalleled heritage made them better placed than anyone else to offer truly individual blazers that reflect the values and personality of any club or society than anyone else in the marketplace.

The design itself was born out of the blazer lapel details - these shapes then gave us a identifiable graphic element that we could apply across all touchpoints. 

We captured the heritage and provenance of the brand within a supporting strapline - ‘Original Blazers of Yorkshire since 1946.

The new brand was then applied to the new website, which adopted a much cleaner appearance, coupled with a more considered customer journey.

We also worked with photographer Sean Knott to create some original imagery for use online and in print. We adopted black and white approach with the final photography - this gave us an ‘ownable look’ as well as a premium feel, and worked well offset against the distinct colour palette we had settled on.
