Owen & Robinson (O&R) are the oldest independent jewellers in Leeds, founded in 1801. They have one of the most exciting collection of watches in the UK with brands such as Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin and Blancpain. They pride themselves on exceptional customer service and their ability to find the perfect piece for each individual.

THE CHALLENGE

Whilst they are well established, they were not as widely recognised as some of the other premium jewellers in the Leeds City centre. With the run up to the busy Christmas period in mind, they wanted to run a campaign that both increased brand awareness whilst driving footfall to store.

OUR SOLUTION

After a workshop with the management team and marketing director, we uncovered a number of brand truths around exceptional levels of service, exclusive brands and ranges, quality and value. We delivered these messages through a campaign that incorporated the companies monogram within each of the headlines, creating a memorable and ownable aesthetic. We incorporated a model shot sat in-front of a repeat pattern background to further dial up the quality of the offering. 

The ads ran in the city centre, train station and on social media.

Bread and Butter pitched for our advertising campaign and clearly understood the brief of shifting perceptions of our brand, from one of a traditional jewellers to a more contemporary retail proposition. We saw an increase in trade and our figures were up on last year so it’s clear it was an worthwhile investment.
We’ll be briefing Simon and his team again and would recommend them to anyone who requires a great professional approach to design and marketing.
