Hotel Disco is an online travel agent focussing on social media channels and great last minute deals. And it’s all done in just a few taps and swipes from your mobile.

The marketing is primarily referential, with bespoke branded Snapchat filters available to hotel guests to share with their friends, as well as a dedicated Instagram account. The aim is to make last minute overnight stays more affordable and the booking more engaging whilst adding a little fun to the stay.

THE CHALLENGE

The start-up needed a name, brand and tone of voice in order to compete as a challenger brand. The name and brand needed to convey brave, confident, fun values, and the design had to ensure stand out in an already overcrowded marketplace.

OUR SOLUTION

We worked with the owners firstly on the name, and then in creating the look and feel of the brand, and developing its tone of voice. We also worked alongside developer Ben Nam in designing the website and online customer journey. 

Emphasis was placed on use of colour, strong use of type and a fun engaging tone of voice.

Simon took the teams here on a brand design journey through structured stages that were set out clearly. Listening to different stakeholders and engaging internationally with key stakeholders, Simon was able to break down our ideas with outstanding professional insight into the world of brand development. It was an education in forming a distinct brand.
