Brand identity, brand communications and naming for a Wordpress support company in Manilla
LevelUP is a start-up providing technical customer support for creators of Wordpress themes & plugins.
They came to us to help them create a brand name and identity that would help set themselves apart from their competition whilst delivering a clean and professional appearance that reflected their expertise and progressive approach.
After several rounds of naming strategy meetings, we arrived at a name that everyone was able to buy into. The name works on several levels: it implies that the company is the next ‘level up’ in terms of the service that they provide, as well nodding to the gamification side of their employee growth and engagement system.
The logo itself adopts a friendly yet solid looking typeface. The lowercase infers a more approachable attitude.
The art direction of the ‘u’ helps the identity to be read as two words, whilst allowing it to be written as one, creating a modern appearance that defy’s a more traditional approach, reflecting the nature of the company.
Simple key messages are delivered using bold type and isolated hands / arms, with each one holding or interacting with an interesting or quirky prop. This unexpected visual execution creates a memorable brand whilst disrupting an otherwise bland looking sector of ‘me-too’s.’
